I was born into a Ukrainian family and raised in a way that puts values ahead of money or economic status.

Since an early age, I have always wanted to be involved in the marine industry, as all my family are mariners—starting from my grandfather, who was a cargo ship captain, up to my parents. I have worked as hard as I can to accomplish this dream throughout my life.

I did not enjoy the luxuries that many of my friends had, but I was taught very strong principles. My mother always taught me to work hard no matter what, whether it was for a job, school, or a hobby.

She always told me that I would encounter many rocks in my path, but that it would be up to me to stay behind that rock and let it defeat me, or find a way to continue on my path until the next challenge. I have applied those ideals, and they have shaped the man I am today.
